Project-based learning (PBL) and similar methods such a problem-based learning and inquiry-based learning are incredibly valuable methods for working with English Language Learners.  In the ESL or EFL classroom project based learning offers flexibility when planning content and language objectives.  Group work is an essential component.  Interaction is central to creating any project.
